Angela Merkel Germany’s Chancellor, for a 4th consecutive term

 

It comes as no big surprise – the German federal election have brought Angela Merkel and her center-right Christian Democratic Union (CDU) party as the largest party and therefore she is  set to remain Germany’s chancellor, for a 4th consecutive term. Merkel is now mulling her coalition options.
