According to the ‘Cruise Industry News’ the North German port of Rostock/Warnemunde is expecting up to  190 vessel calls in the following  Cruise Season.

Iranian Containership ‘MV SEVGI’ makes first call in Hamburg

On May 17, the Iranian Container ship, the MV SEVGI made its first call to Hamburg port, part of IRISL’s new general cargo service, which will call monthly at Hamburg as the only port in Germany, transporting conventional general cargo in addition to containers.

The maritime fleet of the Iran’s national shipping company -IRISL Group- comprises 115 ocean-going vessels, with the total capacity of 3.3 million tons deadweight/DWT.

The Port of Hamburg has seen its container traffic down due to decreased Russia and China trade.
