The German Chancellor Angela Merkel has stated very clearly that a proposal from the US Senate which would impose sanctions on Russia could create negative economic results for the European  economy and was therefore unacceptable.

A spokesman for Merkel said sanctions with extra-territorial effects – those having impacts on third countries – were clearly wrong and not thought out.

Rostock – Helsinki new fiber optic sea cable C-Lion1 completed

 

The Rostock-Helsinki new fiber optic sea cable has become a reality. The Finnish company Cinia has  deployed a submarine fiber optic cable between Rostock in the north of Germany and Helsinki in Finland.

Rostock-Helsinki new fiber optic sea cable laying commenced.

An important telecom project has commenced with the laying of an under-water data cable between the cities of Helsinki,Finland and Rostock in Northern Germany.

The  “Sea Lion” fibre-optic sea cable will both improve internet connectivity and improve security between Finland, Germany and Central Europe.

Hanse Sail Rostock 2015 – STENA Lines reports good first half year sailings from Rostock

Germany’s revolutionary ‘Energiewende’ – ‘energy-transition’- is planned to achieve circa 100 % renewable energy by middle of this century. Much of this energy comes from Brandenburg and Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, two of Germany’s northern most states where we at Germany-North rent Vacation Homes and Short-Stay Apartments on the German Baltic Coast/Ostsee and the German North Sea/Nordsee.
